How to Transfer Money from BPI to PayPal

Are you wondering if there’s a way to transfer money from BPI to PayPal?

PayPal doesn’t have a cash in option in the Philippines unlike many other countries.

But we’ve found a way to make it all work.

Can you transfer money from BPI to PayPal?

Unfortunately, you can’t directly transfer money from BPI to PayPal. But we found a way to transfer money from BPI to PayPal using a unique method.

For this, you’ll need the following:

  • A second email (not the one registered to your PayPal)
  • PayMaya account
  • BPI app
  • PayPal account

PayPal used to allow users to directly cash into their PayPal account using the PayMaya card. But they’ve discontinued that service.

But there’s still a way to do this which you can follow.

Steps to Transfer Money from BPI to PayPal

Transferring money from BPI to PayPal now involves a lot of steps unlike before. Follow these steps correctly and you should be able to add money to your PayPal via BPI.

Step 1: Add money to your PayMaya via BPI (Minimum of P500 to see your PayMaya digital card)

Step 2: Log in to your PayPal and request for payment, use your secondary email which isn’t the one you used to register

Step 3: Add the amount and tap Request a Payment

Step 4: Open your secondary email account and open the Paypal payment request and tap Pay Now

Step 5: Choose Pay without a PayPal account

Step 6: Go to your PayMaya app and select your virtual card

Step 7: Enter your virtual card details in PayPal and send money, you should now receive the money in your PayPal balance

BPI to PayPal

Why is BPI to PayPal not available?

We’ve mentioned earlier that PayPal used to have an option where users can use their PayMaya card to cash into PayPal directly.

But for some reason (we suspect due to a lot of fraudulent activities), they don’t offer this service anymore.

But we’ve found this workaround and hopefully, it can solve your problem.

The good thing about PayPal is you can also link your debit or credit card and use it to pay online instead of your PayPal balance.

However, if you want to send money to other PayPal users, then you can’t do it using your debit or credit card. Our method is the only way to go.
