Are you wondering if there’s a way to transfer money from BPI to PayPal?
PayPal doesn’t have a cash in option in the Philippines unlike many other countries.
But we’ve found a way to make it all work.
Can you transfer money from BPI to PayPal?
Unfortunately, you can’t directly transfer money from BPI to PayPal. But we found a way to transfer money from BPI to PayPal using a unique method.
For this, you’ll need the following:
- A second email (not the one registered to your PayPal)
- PayMaya account
- BPI app
- PayPal account
PayPal used to allow users to directly cash into their PayPal account using the PayMaya card. But they’ve discontinued that service.
But there’s still a way to do this which you can follow.
Steps to Transfer Money from BPI to PayPal
Transferring money from BPI to PayPal now involves a lot of steps unlike before. Follow these steps correctly and you should be able to add money to your PayPal via BPI.
Step 1: Add money to your PayMaya via BPI (Minimum of P500 to see your PayMaya digital card)
Step 2: Log in to your PayPal and request for payment, use your secondary email which isn’t the one you used to register
Step 3: Add the amount and tap Request a Payment
Step 4: Open your secondary email account and open the Paypal payment request and tap Pay Now
Step 5: Choose Pay without a PayPal account
Step 6: Go to your PayMaya app and select your virtual card
Step 7: Enter your virtual card details in PayPal and send money, you should now receive the money in your PayPal balance
Why is BPI to PayPal not available?
We’ve mentioned earlier that PayPal used to have an option where users can use their PayMaya card to cash into PayPal directly.
But for some reason (we suspect due to a lot of fraudulent activities), they don’t offer this service anymore.
But we’ve found this workaround and hopefully, it can solve your problem.
The good thing about PayPal is you can also link your debit or credit card and use it to pay online instead of your PayPal balance.
However, if you want to send money to other PayPal users, then you can’t do it using your debit or credit card. Our method is the only way to go.
Is BPI to PayPal transfer real-time?
Yes, the transfer is in real-time. This means that the money should be reflected in your PayPal within seconds or minutes.
If it didn’t arrive, you can wait for a few hours and then ask for help from PayPal support.
Is there a fee in transferring BPI to PayPal?
No, there are no fees associated with this method of transfer. But PayPal does have their own conversion fees that you need to consider.
Can I do this all the time?
Yes, for now. This method is working 100% of the time right now so you can use it as much as you want.
Why can’t I see my PayMaya virtual card?
You must have at least P500 in your PayMaya account to see your virtual card. But if you have a PayMaya physical card, you can also use that.
Can you use other e-wallets or banks?
Yes, you can use other banks and e-wallets. We just picked PayMaya because it has a virtual card which is convenient.
Transferring money from BPI to PayPal may be a hassle but we’ve found a way to do it. You may now transfer easily and use your PayPal balance as you wish.
